Through the years, the subject of archetypes and the power of personal myths in our lives have become part of our every day conversation. People often call my weekly radio show to ask me questions about how their archetypes are influencing their relationships or their choice of occupations or their health. Many people want to know how their archetypal myths are playing a role in how they envision their creativity or their decision-making skills. These are not easy questions to answer in two or three minutes, to say the least. But such questions are indications that we are now living in a far more intuitively active society in which ordinary answers to the deeper questions about our lives are no longer sufficient.

People are always changing but never so much as over the course of the past fifty years. The influences that have been a part of our lifestyles for fifty years have initiated profound inner growth and awakened an appetite for the pursuit of individual needs, such as healing and self-discovery. Such pursuits have, in turn, redefined how we desire to relate to each other. That is, as we discovered more about our personal inner self and our own needs, the template of traditional relationship pathways became insufficient. The traditional offerings were: marriage, single, religious life, or stay at home as caretaker for your parents. There were not many more options.

These gifts of grace come spontaneously; that is, we have no control or influence upon when or why we are given an extraordinary day of grace. But the result is that each of these seven days profoundly influences or shapes our entire year.

A new vision of life is forming around all of us. Though we may not be able to identify the specifics of this new vision, all of us can sense that we have moved into a completely different energy field with unknown creative potential. This new and very vibrant energy is affecting all matters of life, from weather patterns to political forces to the social fabric of our society. We relate to people differently. We use the Internet to meet people, for instance. We communicate with countless people via our computers. We form relationships with people on line. We are living in a very different world from previous generations and it is changing faster than we can comprehend.

Norm Shealy, M.D., Ph.D., and I are delighted to announce that we are once again teaming up to teach a weekend-seminar on Medical Intuition: An Exploration into the Science and Art of Healing. Norm and I have spearheaded this field for twenty-five-years and have both come to believe that medical intuition is a true “science of the soul”, if not the core one. As a result, we have both pursued deeper understandings of the role that the soul serves in the healing of illness.

We need to understand why we are undergoing this "relationship transition" into an archetypal consciousness, how that is personally influencing us, and how these changes are reshaping our view of the world we live in.
This workshop presents a look into the archetype of Relationships - how we want them to be as an ideal - and then examines who we have become as a result of living in a rapidly changing society with its values in chaos.
