The American Board of Scientific Medical Intuition ®
The American Board of Scientific Medical Intuition is a nationally registered independent board which tests and certifies individuals who are proficient in the fields of Medical Intuition or Counseling Intuition. The standards represent specific criteria for this aspect of Complementary, Alternative and Integrative Healthcare. ABSMI is the ONLY certifying board in these fields.
Medical Intuition is the science of intuitively assisting clients in understanding their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual reactions to their unique stresses. Medical Intuitives work in cooperation with the client's physician or psychologist.
Counseling Intuition is the science of intuitively assisting clients in resolving their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual stress patterns in relation to career, creativity, family, life transitions, parenting, partnerships, relationships, sexuality and spiritual direction.
Physicians, nurses and psychologists who have completed their required education must then be board certified by independent boards. ABSMI provides this certification in the fields of Medical and Counseling Intuition. Diplomates sign and agree to a standard professional code of ethics.
Individuals who pass the certification exam are given certificates which read either:
CERTIFIED MEDICAL INTUITIVE®
OR
CERTIFIED COUNSELING INTUITIVE®
The certification exam for Certified Medical Intuitive is a five day exam during which applicants each day complete Intuitive Medical Analyses on eight different individuals. Those who are seventy-five percent accurate are awarded certification. Those who wish to review the Medical Intuition Diagnostic Check List used in this exam may see it at www.absmi.com.
The certification exam for Certified Counseling Intuitive requires that applicants first submit 25 case summaries signed by the clients. Copies of a sample case summary may be seen at www.absmi.com. The exam itself consists of an interview by an ABSMI Board member and then do a Counseling Intuition session with a client provided at the exam site. An ABSMI Board member observes the Counseling session.
