Sacred Contracts: Course Description
The CMED Institute offers a two-year program, consisting of three intensive weekend workshops per year, based on the work introduced in Sacred Contracts. These classes must be taken in succession.
First Year: Personal Work
The first year is designed as a personal growth program providing participants with an intensive experience of identifying and exploring their Sacred Contracts. Beginning with an in-depth profile of each of your 12 primary archetypes, the first year program will expand your connection to the archetypal dimension through working with two additional Archetypal Wheels. This process provides you with a sense of building the hologram that is your field of life. The more you become fluent in the language and subtle nature of your own unconscious, the more you resonate to your intuitive and inherent healing abilities. The continual theme of the first-year program is the consolidation and integration of the archetypal elements of the self.
Workshop I: Introduction to Sacred Contracts and Spiritual Alchemy
This workshop introduces the theory of Sacred Contracts, which holds that prior to your birth, you participated in scripting a personal life plan of psyche and soul, and that the events, relationships, challenges, and opportunities you face on earth are a manifestation of this spiritual document. You will learn how to identify and interpret the 12 archetypes in your support team that are intended to help you discern and fulfill your Sacred Contract. You will cast an archetypal Chart of Origin and explore its fluid dynamics to help you understand more fully the role these archetypes play in your life. The workshop will further explore how the use of intuitive abilities, imagination, and active dreaming play a central role in this process. Participants will be introduced to the field of Spiritual Alchemy, the metaphysical science of personal transformation.
Workshop II: Advanced Sacred Contracts
This workshop introduces participants to methods of casting and interpreting archetypal charts in the areas of health, finances, relationships, career, and counseling.
Workshop III: Introduction to the Second and Third Wheels
The number of archetypes is endless. While you have an intimate connection to twelve patterns, you are nonetheless in touch with the whole of the collective unconscious of humankind. This workshop introduces the system through which a second and third archetypal wheel are added to your Chart of Origin. (This level of work is not discussed in the book Sacred Contracts.) You will learn how to proceed with the interpretation of more sophisticated archetypal complexes. In addition, we will examine ways in which you can interpret global events through the use of archetypes.
Second Year: Professional Program
The second year is designed for those who are interested in the professional application of the Sacred Contracts material. The three workshops offer instruction in methods of working with this information by giving archetypal readings for clients who may seek guidance regarding health, career, finances, and relationships, among other uses. You will also be instructed on the teaching this material to others. At the conclusion of this second year program, participants will have the option of having their name listed on the Myss web site as available to others for professional readings or for leading workshops. It is our intention to provide professional support to people who have completed the second year program. The first year program is a prerequisite for the second year.
Workshop IV: Introduction to Professional Readings
This workshop will focus on instructions for professional readings. You will learn methods for assisting others in identifying their archetypal patterns and on developing your intuitive skill at interpretation of charts and patterns.
Workshop V: Advanced Professional Readings
The focus of this workshop will be on learning how to do readings on a client, family member, or friend for purposes of seeking guidance in the arenas of career, health, and relationships using multiple wheels.
Workshop VI: Spiritual Direction and Teaching Methods
This workshop focuses on methods of teaching the material learned in the first five workshops of this program to others in workshop or focus group settings. The second half of this workshop, and the close of the two-year program, centers on personal spiritual direction, beginning the process of consolidating all that you have learned to date and preparing for the close of your journey.
