CMED is an all-day experience. The CMED philosophy is that you are a "guest in our home" and we are grateful that you have joined us. We intent to make your journey worthwhile and therefore from the time you arrive, you are kept busy with a wonderful program. The day begins early with yoga and the pre-workshop lecture may vary from an Indian shaman to a brilliant astrologer. The day is filled with Caroline's workshop and the evenings are led by yet other faculty members such as Jim Curtan, a spiritual director specializing in archetypes in the movies. On-site massage therapists are available during all workshops as are other guest experts on a wide variety of topics.
1. PERSONAL INSTRUCTION:
Participants will be assisted by skilled faculty during the intensives.
2. PROFESSIONAL SUPPORT:
Upon completion of the program, CMED will give graduates the option of listing their names and e-mail addresses on Myss.com so that they can be reached by anyone interested in having a professional reading. CMED is dedicated to continuing a long-term career support for its members. By listing your name and availability as a counselor in this field and/or as someone who is available to host a learning group, we can provide you with professional support. (None of your earnings through CMED go to CMED. Money that is earned by you as a result of completing the CMED Institute is fully yours.)
3. ADDITIONAL RESEARCH MATERIAL:
Participants will receive additional information for their own use and continual education through CMED that will not be available to non-members. This information will include research amassed by other members who are interested in sharing their own work. Through this channel, participants can meet the highest level of people experienced with my work, with whom they can engage in their own research projects.
An actual email from the CMED Class:
Dear Student
We would like to welcome you into the CMED Institute program. My name is Cindy Funfsinn and I am part of the staff and will be your go to person with any questions or problems you may have. Please feel free to contact me at any time. I can best be reached by email at Cindy@myss.com.
Classes begin early Thursday morning, at 9 am. The class will run from 9 - 5 and then we have an evening session from 7:30 - 10:00....this is for Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Sunday starts at 9 am and concludes at 3 pm.
Yoga sessions are offered on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We will have morning sessions before breakfast and then again in the late afternoon.
There is a meal plan that is offered for the students. It covers Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and Breakfast only on Sunday. This is a buffet style meal plan for general diets. This buffet does not cater to any special dietary needs. If you have any dietary restrictions, we highly recommend that you do not partake in the meal plan. The meal plan is a package deal for the 10 meals, they are not available on an individual basis. You can register for the meal plan through the Myss.com website. The cost of the meal plan is currently $200, however, this is subject to adjustments in the future.
The classes are scheduled to be held at the Oak Brook Doubletree starting in 2011. It is highly recommended that you stay at this location due to the long daily schedules. Room reservations should be made directly with the hotel. Be sure to mention that you are with the CMED group to receive the special room rate when you book your room and be sure to book early.
The is no formal dress code for these classes. Please come and be comfortable. We suggest dressing in layers, as the room is usually on the cool side. Be sure to remember your yoga wear!
Be sure to bring notebooks and pens for note taking.
We have the weekends professionally recorded. Recorders of any kind are prohibited.
I hope that I have covered most of the basics here. Again, please do not hesitate to contact me with any further questions that you may have regarding the course.
Peace
Cindy
