I am writing to remind you that I will be teaching at the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in early December. Please join me at this fabulous retreat center for some pre-holiday inspiration.
Many of the great mystics, such as St. Bridget, St. Teresa of Avila, John of the Cross, Hildegard, St. Francis, and Rumi, lived with one foot on the earth and the other in the cosmos, channeling grace to a world in need through the power of their souls, some of them without ever leaving their monasteries.
In our times, a new call is in motion—the call to be a "mystic without a monastery." Rather than withdrawing from society, the contemporary mystic is active, has a family or a partner as well as a profession, and, simultaneously, responds in service to the world. If you have this impulse, this powerful weekend program is for you.
Learn how to be a channel for grace while maintaining soul stamina. I will be introducing material from my new book, Entering the Castle, and leading you on an exploration into the many wondrous rooms inside the mansion of the soul, as first described by St. Teresa of Avila. Together we will explore the journey of illumination: come learn about soul companions, the nature of grace, and how to be of service to the world as a person who has the soul of a mystic.
I look forward to seeing you there!
