Hi Everyone:

I have some wonderful news - wonderful for me and I hope you'll find it the same. I have decided to teach my three part course on SACRED CONTRACTS once again next year. I took this year off due to launching DEFY GRAVITY. But also I have found that in my work, each subject that I explore ultimately brings a new vista of influence upon the other subjects that I have introduced to the field of consciousness studies. The years of teaching ENTERING THE CASTLE and DEFY GRAVITY have given me the language and the means to incorporate the teachings of many of the great mystics into my work. This, in turn, has added depth and an even greater understanding of the role that archetypes serve as the governing patterns of our life's journey. Merging elements of mysticism with the realm of archetypes will cast an even greater dimension to SACRED CONTRACTS.

As many of you know who have heard me lecture, I refer to archetypal knowledge constantly. I interpret current and historic events through archetypal patterns. I view the world around me through the rich language of symbols, myths, and the stories contained within the archetypal patterns that pulsate within our souls. We cannot exist outside of these forces, no matter how much we learn about them. Their influence in our lives is as microscopic as it is macroscopic. The archetypes that you have in your Sacred Contract penetrate into even the clothes you wear and the people you find attractive as friends, not to mention the natural lack of attraction you have for others.

Everyone wonders about what their path is in life, what they "should" be doing, where they belong, and often with whom. This knowledge is often revealed within your archetypal patterns - not down to where to apply for a job, of course. But rather, your creative impulses and inner longings are an expression of one or more of your archetypes. Not acknowledging these patterns, which is to say, avoiding coming to know yourself at the depth, is like choosing to remain a stranger to yourself. I have met many people in my life who speak about wanting to do this or that "someday", and I can hear in their voice that they are speaking from a place of deep longing - that type of longing that comes from wanting to know oneself beyond the daily busy work of life. Another way to say this is that these people want to know the "soul" of themselves and it is a true suffering to feel that longing but never answer it.

The exploration of your SACRED CONTRACT is an adventure in personal discovery. You can think that you know yourself but not until you explore your archetypal patterns can you say that you truly "know" the hidden, unexpressed mysteries within you. No one knows him or herself that deeply without going on a quest of this magnitude. And it is life transforming because through this journey, you acknowledge who you are in a language you have never used before. Discovering your SACRED CONTRACT is, without a doubt, one of the most life affirming journeys you will ever take.
