Archetypes are embedded in our personal history, and there’s no getting rid of them. They are very much part of who we are, and are the psychic aspect of the brain.
The most we can do about them is to become aware of them and how they interfere with our conscious intentions. As long as we are unconscious of our archetypes we are prone to being overwhelmed or driven by them.
You might ask, why widen and deepen our consciousness in this way? Carl Jung stated, “consciousness does not create itself, it wells up from unknown depths and without some knowledge of the unconscious and it’s contents, one cannot claim to know oneself.
Also, and more simply, from my experience, as I am sure yours, without consciousness, things generally go less well.
By casting your archetypal chart and having an archetypal reading, archetypes stop being an interesting idea and become experiential reality. They facilitate healing in the unconscious to what is happening in every day life. You might come to a reading with a personal agenda, but soon that goes out the window and you find yourself grappling with issues you hadn’t thought of and sore spots you didn’t know you had. It does have a transformative effect given your thoughts in this process are numinous and overwhelming.
Now, it takes hard work to understand archetypes because we aren’t used to their symbolic language. They are quite often foreign to our linear way of thinking, and they are especially difficult to understand because our blind spots always get in the way.
This is where I, as an archetypal consultant, can assist you.
I promise that you will find exciting new information about yourself and be able to incorporate your archetypes into a purposeful whole.
