Barbara Lefever
Welcome! I am so delighted to assist you on this personal journey we call Life. Warm and helpful, I cannot help but reach out and help others… even if just laughing at my stories is enough to make you smile.
Minnesota born, and California grown, I left my Midwest family and flew to the San Francisco Bay Area where I learned some big life lessons. Brave or incredibly lucky, I survived the big earthquake of 1989 and other moral-testing challenges. Life does not give you a dress rehearsal, so you hold your breath, hang on, pray hard and plunge in. That pretty much sums it up, doesn’t it?
My life has been peppered with a few fun adventures, good times and bad, some gambles taken in the hopes of creating a better life. When I met Caroline Myss, and studied under her in Chicago, I was able to stop chasing a myth and accepted myself for who I am. Fun but serious. Flawed but hopeful. Wise, yet adventurous.
Skydiving and white water rafting, trips to Scottsdale and Waikoloa, blowing up my Honda Accord on a desolate stretch of highway somewhere between Livermore and San Bernardino, falling in love with an alcoholic who I am certain could have been my soul mate, leaving him to preserve myself, achieving success in a world-class company, losing my life savings to an ill-fated first marriage, dumping my career to attend to my Grandfather’s needs until his death in 1999, achieving wellness from bulimia in 2007, it is the people I met along the way that I treasure the most. If I sat down and wrote out the details of these stories, it may cause more tears than the ones described in Eat, Pray, Love. Still, I have no regrets.
Must love dogs. Now if that isn’t a Nature Child, I don’t know what is! I love people too, but I see how my dog keeps me grounded. Teaching dogs comes naturally to me, and I can use this gift to become a liaison for people and their pets. Using the deck of archetype cards, I can interpret your relationship with your dog. If that can help you in any way, call me.
So often we find the same patterns in life taking place, like an old friend. On the opposite end of that welcome feeling of seeing old friends, are things we prefer to avoid. Like taxes or a pesky personality that seems to pop up in the most surprising places.
Archetypes are an enlightening tool to help lay out the floor plan, so you don’t run into a wall or stub your toe. Nodding your head when you hear someone tell a story about something that happened to them, may indicate you have “been there, done that”. (I nod my head a lot it seems!)
Archetypes are like that. A favorite uncle; a high school bully; an over-bearing co-worker; that annoying pest who always “pushes your buttons”; a loving friend; a friendly cashier; the teacher who changed your life; a helpful stranger in a fleeting second; the “aha!” moment after you overcome a challenge; these are examples of things that tell your story. Understanding people and situations that shape your life is my gift to you. I am the bridge.
Archetypes are like a road map on your personal road trip. It’s not the destination, but the journey. So true! There are over 72 Archetypes. To get started, you can choose to concentrate on your Basic Chart that is simply done in one sitting. Later on you can dig in for the full 12 Archetypes that make you so unique. If you are ready for the whole picture, and want to pick out 12 from the 72 Archetypes right now, we can do that too! Call to set up the half day session with me. Your chart of Archetypal patterns will continue to change and evolve the way you see yourself, and help you filter the way you perceive things.
Child, Saboteur, Victim, and Prostitute archetypes make up your Survival Crew. Exploring these patterns is called the “Basic Chart”. I will help you interpret the patterns and you may discover this is where you hold your inner fears. Identifying this can help increase your self-esteem and bring you closer to living your best life.
Call Today: 330-262-1744 or send an email with subject line “Archetypes” to: doglogic@embarqmail.com
$75 per hour or $275 for the full 12. You may want to order the book “Sacred Contracts” and keep on hand to help explain the archetypes as you choose the patterns that ring true for you.
I will do the work of interpreting them, and interpreting Archetypal “Situations” too. Archetypes are not limited to just one person, they also apply to events. Which one is right for you? Basic 4? Chart of 12? Dog and Owner interpretation?
