A Cosmic Journey into the Ten Powers of Your Soul
For many years now I have presented a three column, ten-level model of the chakras. Chakras 8 – 10 became an essential part of my teaching, as I learned more about our energetic – indeed, our cosmic – nature. The ten Sefirot, or Tree of Life of the Kabbalah, describe the ten qualities of the Divine nature of God. They align with our seven chakras, as I introduced twenty-years ago in Anatomy of the Spirit. (Since three of the ten Sefirot share the same level, thus the Tree of Life has seven levels, but ten Sefirot.) Those ten Sefirot, however, can also be explored in a one-to-one relationship with all ten chakras. That is exactly what we will do together in our Vancouver workshop.
The Tree of Life is a holy map of the highest qualities of the human soul. And just as a tree grows gradually in harmony with the cycles of nature, these Divine qualities in us awaken in us in a specific order. Each one gradually blends into our consciousness, deepening who we are and contributing to our capacity to embrace, direct, create, and appreciate our life. Equally importantly, these are the qualities of the soul that are required to become a strong and healthy Tree, to stand tall in the garden that is your Life and to bear ripe fruit (symbolic meaning includes everything from loving relationships and friendship to having children to generating successful ideas). I’ve also come to appreciate that these qualities of the soul that are the “active agents” in the healing process of a human being.
We will explore your Tree of Life in a gradual ascension through the map of your life. Here is a very brief (and inadequate) description of the ten Sefirot: Shekhinah (mystical community); Yesod (energy of the procreative force of God); Nezah (endurance); Hod (integrity/majesty); Tif’eret (compassion/beauty); Hesed (love and mercy); Gevurah (judgment); Hokhmah (wisdom/contact point between the human and Divine mind); Binah (energy of the Divine mother and the intelligence of God); Keter (the Divine that flows into the manifestation of Life).
The power of each Sefirot and chakra allows for our discussions to include health and healing, creativity, and personal issues as well as prayer, mysticism and other matters related to spirituality. This will be a very intimate workshop, as the theme is aimed at deep inner work. The venue is ideal for this contemporary retreat, as we have chosen a small, lovely hotel in gorgeous Vancouver.
