This workshop is a tool kit of resources for your health, a mini self-help and self-awareness seminar aimed at providing you with practical health information that addresses the needs of your body, mind and soul. Everything about our health is changing. And no wonder. Everything about our world, our environment, our food and the pace of living is shifting at an exponential rate. It is only natural that such massive and chaotic shifts in the world around us would affect the world within us; specifically, the quality of our health, the quality of our relationships, and the quality of how we relate to the external “body” of our life. In recent decades, any number of new illnesses, syndromes, chronic conditions, and mental disorders have developed, some no doubt a reflection of the ever-increasing toxicity in our food products. But much of the stress is not measurable, as it is rooted in the impact that social, emotional and financial upheavals have upon our soul and our sense of security. How do we measure the effects of feeling the ground beneath us wobble? Are such collective fears the source of the rise in global epidemics? Perhaps.
Simultaneously, we are living at time when we are learning so much about our capacity to participate as well as sustain the quality of our health. Our soul is our life battery, capable of enhancing our immune system, of invigorating our psyche against the dark night of depression and providing us with the stamina to heal a body-exhausting illness. It is vitally important today to understand the role that power has in both the loss of your inner sense of balance and health. Power is the fundamental ingredient in life and therefore in health.
This Reflections class is our first on-line weekend intensive. Norm and I will share two three-hour sessions each day. During the class, you will be able to submit questions about your own health issues. We will devote the last half hour of each session to the questions you send in.
As always if you cannot attend the live seminar, you can view the archive online at your convenience. You will receive a link to the video of the workshop within 48 hours after class ends on Sunday, July 24.
I do hope you’ll join us. I have taught with Norm for more than thirty-years now. In fact, for more than half my life. (That’s a pretty incredible thought, actually.) And still after all that time, teaching with Norm remains the dearest part of my professional life.
