Greetings from Dr. April Young,
I am professionally trained and licensed in the State of Colorado to provide psychological treatment to people seeking help for emotional issues that are affecting the satisfaction and well-being of their lives. I have successfully treated many psychological conditions, such as relationship discord/conflicts, couple’s communications, severe childhood trauma and sexual abuse, dissociation, depression and anxiety, alcohol and drug addiction recovery, post traumatic stress disorder, mood disorders, and more. I work primarily with adults (over 18 years old), both in individual counseling as well as in couples or partner/relationship counseling. I also facilitate groups, and lead workshops.
In addition to “traditional” psychological treatments, I bring to my practice a wide variety of what is consider by many as “non-traditional” approaches. One of which is the use of Archetypes and Sacred contracts. I am trained and certified in this approach by the CMED institute founded by Caroline Myss. In addition, I do extensive work with past life regressions and explorations into how past lives are impacting your current life and how these lives are integrated into your sacred contracts and archetypical patterns. I trained with Dr. Brian Weiss to develop my work with past life regressions and I have taken many journeys with individuals to explore these connections.
I am always honored to witness the life force which propels us toward growth and change, and am deeply moved by humanity’s search for meaning. We may feel as though its time to make changes in order to be in line with our highest capabilities and intentions. We know that the questions we’re asking are profound and are seeking companionship as we traverse this new territory.
