Fredericka Close
After decades of caring for the physical body of her patients as a Registered Nurse (RN) and in the HIV/AIDS arena as an AIDS Certified Registered Nurse (ACRN), Fredericka Close has recently retired from her distinguished nursing career to devote more of her energy and skills to helping others see and heal the spiritual body.
Close has had a life-long devotion to spiritual studies and practice. She began sharing her passion for the soul’s journey while still a young woman as a member of the Catholic Church while teaching for the Catholic Youth Organization. Feeling the constraints of religious doctrine, she continued her own journey by leaving that organization to explore other paths into the soul. She became a student of Transcendental Meditation for an extended period before becoming involved in the International Satya Sai Baba Organization.
Working within the Satya Sai Baba Organization, Close’s experience and teaching skills were again employed when she taught the “Education in Human Values” course to children, making a valuable contribution to the educational materials in the United States teacher training curriculum. She went on to become the president of a Satya Sai Baba Center and traveled to India many times as part of her spiritual quest of knowledge of the true Self.
Open to finding and supporting Spirit in whatever form it may present itself, Close has studied Buddhism, Hinduism, and the spiritual traditions of native peoples of America. She experienced a weeklong desert intensive with a Yaqui Shaman in the Sonoran Desert of Arizona, and she has had the honor of hosting monthly Lakota sacred sweat lodge ceremonies on the land where she makes a home with her husband.
It is with great humility that Close acknowledges that she has been blessed in experiencing spiritual traditions. She embraces the wisdom that comes from recognizing that all spiritual traditions share unifying principles of Truth. It is from this deep awareness of the mystical truth “All is One” that she studied further with those working with interfaith templates, such as James Finley, clinical psychologist and former Trappist monk and with Caroline Myss.
For more than eight years, Close has studied with Myss, world-renowned best-selling author and spiritual teacher. She has attended numerous courses at Caroline Myss Education Institute (CMED) in Chicago, throughout the United States and abroad in Spain and the Holy Land of Israel. Close received certification in archetypal consulting through CMED in 2011.
Close offers workshops that include integrative modalities to guide participants on their soul’s journey of empowerment and alignment with their “Sacred Contract.” She is available for speaking engagements, workshops, and individual consultations. Close has recently authored a soon–to-be-published book, Divine Grace: The Power That Illuminates Your Soul. This book is a summation and integration of the experiential wisdom she has been blessed to receive from multiple sacred traditions through her emersion in Truth.
