‘I can’t remember a time when I haven’t been intrigued by what makes people tick. What drives us on in difficult or indeed happy circumstances, what is the difference that makes the difference for each of us.
To that end I have studied and been involved in the personal growth and development of myself and others for the last 12 years. It is a journey that has taken many twists and turns rather like life itself. The commitment I made way back then was to have a greater understanding of who I am and how I operate so that each day I could wake up living my motto ‘that today I will be the best me I can be’
I was born and raised in the UK, working for a major bank for 15 years up to migrating to Australia in 1992, arriving in July of that year and 7 months pregnant. That in itself is a huge life experience. Throw in to the mix becoming a Mum and subsequently a single Mum to a now 17 year old and it was life at the sharp end as the saying goes! I worked in Credit Management for large corporations in Sydney. However as I began to enter my 40th year I started to question myself on a deep level about what I was doing. Why was I doing it? I couldn’t come up with any answer other than it was what was expected. What followed that was the realization that it made me unhappy and unfulfilled.
Fast forward to 2003 I made the decision to move from Sydney to Perth a journey of some 3000 km geographically and a complete change of pace and career. I quit the Corporate world and studied Natural Therapies eventually setting up and running a small aromatherapy and massage business which I really enjoyed. I soon learned though that whilst its great to treat the body you cannot ignore the mind and almost as soon as that thought hit me I was given the opportunity to attend a workshop on Neuro Linguistic Programming – a pivotal moment.
I completed my Master Practitioner and Trainer certification in NLP in 2006, this also included a certification in Ericksonian Hypnosis, Neurological Repatterning and Performance Consulting. I have and continue to coach clients in Australia and Overseas , work that I really love. Its a privilege to work with clients who actively seek to make changes in their lives.
However the picture was not quite complete and my lifelong love of learning soon brought into my life Archetypes and the wonderful teaching of Caroline Myss. After attending and receiving certification as an Archetypal Consultant in 2009 I have now added another rich layer of knowledge and wisdom to my practice.
Life these days can be uncertain, change rapid and often unexpected, what better way to face it than by learning who the real you is, if we truly know and accept all of who we see in the mirror each morning, it gives us a strong base of authenticity which helps us navigate any event with a sense of sureness ”
