Shane M. Nygaard

Hi, I’m Shane M. Nygaard, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. I earned my Archetype Consultant title after finishing the 2 year “Sacred Contracts” CMED class in 2007. In addition to studying at CMED, I have a B.A. in Musical Theatre from the University of Minnesota, where I also studied modern Psychology.

Since graduating from CMED, I have been consistently exploring the world of Archetypes through literature, mythology, popular culture, Carl Jung, James Hillman, and more. I currently serve as a Minnesota Jung Association (MJA) Board Member, helping to keep the work of Carl Jung (the pioneer of Archetypal awareness) alive and developing. My Archetype-themed presentations for the MJA include The Supernatural in Popular Culture; The Art of Darkness; The Kings of the Past: Archetypes & the Ancestors; and Soul Free: An Archetypal Tribute to George Michael. My influences include the Romantic poets, the Pre-Raphaelites, great vocalists, James Hillman, Jung, and things with wings. ^i^
