The Damsel

Hi, Everybody –

It’s time for another archetype. This week we’re doing the Damsel.

If you think about the cosmos and the archetypal structures governing human evolution, some archetypes have run the gamut. And to some extent, that’s happening to the archetypes that we associate with the princess, the knight, and the queen; there are fewer on this planet. So, we can say that the Damsel’s days are numbered—especially the Damsel in distress.

The Damsel is associated with being a young, beautiful, helpless maiden waiting for rescue. Eventually, we’re supposed to rescue ourselves and emerge queens in our own psychic field.

Remember, everything in life is about becoming empowered, absolutely everything. So for all of you young damsels, look ahead to becoming powerful queens.
