As much as we would like to reduce healing to the “one problem – one solution” equation, the fullness of a human life negates such simple equations. Our health, as it turns out, is an expression of far deeper, wider, and more complex under currents in our life.

Learn more about Healing Practices for Your Soul”

The body/mind/spirit template introduced years ago became the foundation of the holistic health movement and introduced the now accepted truth that we are an integrated life system. I relied upon that model as a compass when I began my career as a medical intuitive. While my early years were not focused on understanding the nature of healing, eventually the mysteries of healing consumed my attention. I wrote, Why People Don’t Heal, as my initial step into my study of what I realized was our relationship to power far more than health. Our health, as it turns out, is an expression of far deeper, wider, and more complex under currents in our life that are rooted in:

  • How well we navigate our own human nature
  • The influence of our archetypal myths
  • And most significantly, how consciously we choose to recognize and attend to the needs of our soul or sacred nature.

Health and healing, as I have come to believe, is not dependent upon the simple formula of negative thinking versus positive or seeking out the one trauma that happened in your youth in order to heal the memory. As much as we would like to reduce healing to the “one problem – one solution” equation, the fullness of a human life, including the multi-levels of our consciousness and the possibility if not probability of past lives (and the influence of future lives), negates such simple equations. Further, if solutions to our health were that simple and easy, all of us would be much, much healthier by now. And the fact is the crises we experience with addiction, depression, wide-ranging mental and emotional struggles, the emergence of psychic disorders, not to mention epidemic statistics in familiar illnesses such as cancer, arthritis and heart disease have been on the rise for years. And now the children of our society are manifesting health crises at a rapidly increasing rate ranging from autism to learning disabilities to hyper activity to depression and so on.

Let me offer you a perspective: We are living in the age of energy and we are in an active stage of evolution as a result. We are psychically opening up but simultaneously we are spiritually shutting down in conventional ways. Traditional religions are not attending to our intellectual much less spiritual needs while conventional medicine is unable to recognize illnesses of the soul. I believe that the task of understanding the bio-mystical nature of who we are becoming in this extraordinary moment of evolution is the great inner impulse that each of us shares. I believe that impulse is the source of our restlessness and the urgency we have felt for years that we interpret as that feeling that were born for “something”, but what? We seek for something “special” outside of ourselves but rarely find that something, or that place – because that something is, as the great cosmic teachers, Jesus and Buddha, have always said, inside of you.

We have been searching for the power of our soul, liberated from religion and finally understood as our sacred or mystical consciousness. This is the source of our higher self, that part of us that inherently comprehends intuitive guidance and the creative authority of the mystical laws. This is the part of ourselves that is the source of our health and the core of our life force. This is the true nature of the soul. We have been searching for a way to break free of fear and there are no exterior ways to do that. We can only find that profound way of transformation within us.

The belief that we can heal illnesses or that we can receive clear inner guidance or that we can endure that unendurable is not a myth. But the mind/body/spirit template was just a beginning, a first step in understanding that we are an integrating system of life. We are also sacred – and healing, genuine healing, requires grace. The body/mind/spirit template leaves us at the door of the sacred. While people can accomplish remissions and relief from chronic pain temporarily by working with an integrated approach, the complete transformation of an illness is a task for the soul, as I will explain in this series.

In this three-part Reflections class, I will introduce the concept of the soul as the bio-mystical-ecological force of life that it truly is. I deeply believe that the engine of transformation underlying the changes and chaos of this time in which we are living is rooted in the cosmic eruption of soul or mystical consciousness, ending centuries of soul captivity by religions. This is truly the era of self/soul empowerment.

21 January
Session One: An Interior View of Your Soul
We are not accustomed to thinking of the soul as an inner instrument of power – but in fact, your soul is your greatest instrument of power, exceeding your mind, your heart, and your earthly wealth. In this first session, I will present a view of the soul from your interior self, describing the inherent qualities, graces and needs of your soul.

22 January
Session Two: Illness, Health and Healing
In this session, I will present a perspective on the human energy system that embraces the laws of our physical nature, Mother Nature, and our cosmic nature. This is the emerging template that I believe reflects the universal soul in all life and the cosmic law that All is One.

Session Three: Stage Three: Evolution
The maintenance of our health – and the balance of our life – is a practice. It is a lifestyle. People do not heal because they have lived without consciousness until their time of crisis arrives. Then it is often too late to compensate for a life lived without awareness. We need to have daily practices that reflect our self-regard for our inner nature, not because we are ill but because we hold our life in deep regard and reverence.

Like all of my Reflections classes, I consider this one to be a continuation of my Spiritual Direction classes. I hope you will join me on this first course of 2019.

Love,
Caroline
