The Destroyer
Hi, Everyone –
It’s time for another archetype. This week, I’m doing the destroyer.
Now that always reminds me of a world war two movie, a big destroyer on the ocean. But this is an archetype, and I’m sure everyone is familiar with someone who has this archetype. I’m also convinced this is an archetype like the saboteur or the child everyone has some measure of. And then there are those people who are just destructive, like Hitler.
This archetype goes into our blood and bones because destruction and construction are the cycles of life; they are death and rebirth. A destroyer can wipe out relationships, self-destruct, destroy the world around them, and at the same time, construct it anew.
It’s very easy to destroy. It’s not so easy to construct. That requires endurance and dedication and tests your mettle. This life is all about what we do with our power. How do we use it, what do we create with it, what do we destroy with it? If you look at every choice you make, is it constructive? Or is it destructive?
Okay, everybody, I wish you the best with this.
I’ll see you for another archetype next week.
Love,
Caroline
